having been a designer who thought Design Outpost would be a good way to 'get me foot' in the door ... I now have a very different opinion. The forums and 'service' offering simply take advantage of designers, and in turn degrading the professional approach and cost of PROPERLY designing a creative logo that works.

Let's just remember, a logo represents a business and/or product/service. If it's done well you'll use it to promote said business/products for years to come ... that's worth a little more than the $150 Design Outpost are willing to accept for a logo 'project (read: competition, or free pitch.)

Still, at the end of the day ... you get what you pay for. Best of luck in getting a good solution from Design Outpost for logo designs.

What a brilliant idea!
Make designers work their ass off producing the goods prior to sale!
Yeah, brilliant!

I'll hire you for code next, if you only submit your work first in a bidding war.
