Using IFilter in Delphi

Posted on April 30th, 2006.

I noticed (by looking at my blog statistics) that I get quite a few visitors looking for IFilter and Delphi in google. The reason is that I have a article on using IFilter in C# (http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/IFilter.asp) and that I mention Delphi quite often in this blog.Anyway, I don’t have that information here, but I can point you to […]

ASP.NET 2.0, Unhandled Exceptions and Lucene.net

Posted on April 27th, 2006.

Just saw this post from Tess about unhandled exceptions in ASP.NET 2.0. Great post by the way, with lot of useful information (as always) about using windbg and logging unhandled exceptions. I really needed that information a month ago when I encountered the exact same problem (exception in a finalizer) with an ASP.NET web service […]

Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider 1.0

Posted on April 9th, 2006.

Microsoft just released version 1.0 of their SCC provider for Team System. I just tested this with SourceConneXion and everything is working OK. The bugs I ran into in the beta version of the provider are now fixed, but there are still quite a few quirks with this version. Here’s what I found:  The SCC Provider access an out of process COM object (TfsMsscciSvr.exe) […]

Micro ISV blogs

Posted on April 3rd, 2006.

Being a Micro-ISV, I find the following Blogs really useful: Ian Landsman’s Weblog (The Maintenance Pricing Model is Win Win confirmed what I had in mind for our new product) Bob Walsh My Micro-ISV There are many others that Planet MicroISV aggregates, but for now I’m happy with the above. That also leaves me with enough time to get […]

Design Outpost

Posted on April 3rd, 2006.

I found Design Outpost through the Joel On Software forums - I like the idea! Let’s say you need a logo for a new product. you post the project details and the price (paid in advance) and a group of designers basically bid for that amount by posting their suggestions for your project. I really like the fact that all […]
